Wellness is much more than eating nutritious meals and getting exercise. It's about how you feel every day and how you care for yourself beyond meal time.

When most people hear the word wellness, they think of eating healthier, getting more exercise, and maybe improving their sleep. And those things do matter—but they’re only part of the picture.

True wellness is so much more than what you eat or how often you move your body. It’s about how supported, connected, and aligned you feel in your daily life. It's about whether your environment lifts you up, whether your work drains or fulfills you, and whether you're living in a way that reflects who you really are.

That’s why in my health coaching practice, I use a 10-Dimension Wellness Model to help clients explore all the areas that contribute to their well-being:

  1. Physical

  2. Emotional

  3. Intellectual

  4. Financial

  5. Environmental

  6. Social

  7. Spiritual

  8. Occupational

  9. Digital

  10. Cultural

You don’t need to be “great” in every single one of these. That’s not the goal.

The goal is awareness—noticing what’s going well, what feels off, and where small shifts might help you feel more energized, balanced, and whole.

Why This Matters

We often try to fix how we feel by tweaking our routines—changing what we eat or forcing ourselves to exercise more. But if the real issue is burnout from your job, or loneliness, or feeling disconnected from your values… no meal plan is going to solve that.

Taking a broader view of wellness helps us look deeper—and show ourselves more compassion.

I’m Not Here to Tell You What to Do

I’m not a “top-down” coach with a rigid system. I walk with my clients as they explore what’s working in their lives—and what isn’t. I help them reflect, experiment, and make changes that actually fit their real life.

Over the next several weeks, I will be posting blogs about these different dimensions. This blog series will break down the 10 dimensions of wellness, two at a time. Each post will include a few questions for reflection and simple ways to check in with yourself.

Think of it as a mini reset. A chance to slow down and take stock of how you’re really doing.

💜 This isn’t about perfection. It’s about clarity, kindness, and choosing what supports you.

Let’s get started—together.
